Genealogical Research Services
Research package – $300 total
Includes 6 hours of dedicated genealogical research ($50/hr), with a $150 deposit required to begin.
All research projects begin with a 45-minute free consultation through a video call before the deposit is due, and conclude with a research report including a list of resources consulted while researching your family history.
Services can include:
- Building a family tree
- Access to digitized versions of original documents, when feasible
- If not feasible, a detailed description of the document will be provided
- On-site research in Washington, D.C., and bordering counties, where feasible
- Translations of single-paged records from Russian or Ukrainian to English or Spanish
- Translations of multipaged records can be performed at an additional cost
- Analysis of a DNA match list upon consent
Lerning your Lineage strives to make new discoveries about one’s family as best as possible. However, in the unfortunate event that no information about your family is found during the research process, you will be provided with a research report listing resources consulted while researching your family history, so if you want to pick up researching your family history at a future date, you are better informed of where to look. The cost of this service will equate to your $150 deposit, and no additional funds will be requested.
